
What's the history of the Club?
Club Lotus was founded in 1956 by the Lotus factory
when they were based at Hornsey in North London . Colin Chapman was
the first President and all original owners were automatically enrolled.
Since the 1970's the Club has been completely independent from Lotus
Cars although close ties are still maintained with both Group Lotus
and Classic Team Lotus. Current membership has grown to 7600 over the
past year which makes it the largest Lotus Club in the world. All types
of Lotus are catered for and members range from 18 to 86.The Club has
24 regional organisers throughout the UK so there are always local
monthly meetings and activities no matter where you live. Club Lotus
is a friendly and sociable club and new members are always made very
welcome.

What's our main show/event?
We organise the annual Club Lotus Show and Festival at
Donington Park , which takes place annually on the second or third
weekend in March. This popular event attracts Lotus enthusiasts from
all over the world. The Club also organises the annual Lotus
Parts Fair at Stoneleigh Park on the second sunday in November.
We also have a club stand at most of the major classic car shows in
the UK .
